PERCUSSION GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
The NDCP Percussion Guidance Counselors are available to provide free advice and recommendations to any Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, Queer, and/or women percussion students and their educators, including percussionists who are not participating in the Youth and Emerging Artist programs. Percussion Guidance Counselors may be able to help with:

Private teacher referrals

Recommendations for local youth orchestras, honor bands, community ensembles, etc.

Referrals for music camps, festivals, auditions, and performance opportunities

Advice for acquiring, renting, and/or purchasing percussion equipment

Recommendations for percussion books, repertoire selection (solo, ensemble, and orchestral), and other gear and materials

Insight for selecting an appropriate collegiate music program for your interests and circumstances

Advice regarding preparing for any kind of audition
