ABOUT

The Network for Diversity in Concert Percussion was created with one urgent goal in mind: to serve as a resource for, and support to, aspiring professional percussionists from underrepresented and underserved communities* in an effort to improve equity, diversity, and inclusion in the concert percussion community.

Currently in the United States, the percussion sections of symphony orchestras, chamber orchestras, opera houses, military and wind bands, pit orchestras, and music programs and institutions do not reflect the beautiful scope of backgrounds, identities, and stories that comprise the nationwide population. The NDCP is committed to addressing and combating the reasons for why this is the case, and this will be achieved through our Youth and Emerging Artist programs as well as our Guidance Counselor services in conjunction with the knowledge, experiences, and resources of our Professional Members.

The NDCP is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
